Involved with Community Radio since the early 1980s, afterleaving school, Lawrie trained as a radio journalist before becoming aproducer of music, speech and documentary programmes for several yearsboth in the UK and overseas.

 

Lawrie has worked on various projects for the CMA in recent years andhas also contributed regular articles to a variety of specialist mediapublications, writing about radio policy and technology issues.  Aftercompleting a Masters Degree in International Relations and Development,Lawrie joined Ofcom to work specifically on Community Radio matters.
