Ofcom has set out its new, region-by-region approach for the second round of Community Radio licensing. This approach will enable the regulator to deal with a large volume of applications in a timely manner.
On 13 July 2006 Ofcom published a draft timetable which set out the regions, and the order in which it proposed to invite applications. Below, you will find the latest version of the timetable with opening and closing dates for applicants in the various regions.
For each region, the period between the invitation of applications and closing-date will be 12 weeks.
Community radio licences are awarded for a five-year period.
