Information, advice and support

The CMA provides daily support to members online and by telephone on specific issues.

Training & Networking

Periodically the CMA delivers networking events and training workshops to support community media groups in meeting new challenges.

The CMA Charter

All members of the Community Media Association are required to sign up to the following ten-point code of practice: the Community Media Charter.

A Voice for Community Media

The Community Media Association actively works to improve recognition of the community media sector and its work in and involvement with the communities it seeks to serve.

The CMA works at national, regional and local levels to increase funding for the sector to enable and expand its work with disadvantaged communities.

The CMA represents community media on the Skillset Radio Skills & Development Forum and the British Library’s Save Our Sounds national radio archive project.

The CMA is a part of Public Voice, the leading voluntary sector coalition campaigning for citizens’ interests in media and communications policy and regulation.

Partnerships

The Community Media Association regularly recruits members as partners in delivering CMA grant funded projects.

The CMA regularly organises high profile national events which showcase new developments in the community media sector and brings together a diverse audience from the Community, Voluntary, Public and Private sectors.
