A Voice for Community Media- The Community Media Association actively works to improve recognitionof the community media sector and its work in and involvement with thecommunities it seeks to serve.
- The CMA works at national, regional and local levels to increase funding for the sector to enable and expand its work with disadvantaged communities.
- The CMA provides the secretariat and regular briefings for the All Party Parliamentary Community Media Group.
- The CMA represents community media on the Skillset Radio Skills & Development Forum, the Skillset TV Skills Strategy Committee and the Radio Industry Diversity Group.
- The CMA is a member of the Digital Television Stakeholders Group that meets quarterly to receive updates anddiscuss progress of the UK’s Digital Switchover programme.
- The CMA is a part of Public Voice, the leading voluntary sector coalition campaigning for citizens’ interests in mediaand communications policy and regulation.
Get your programmes on the netThe CMA’s Canstream Service assists community media organisations in making their programmes available on the web. The service is available at a discounted rate for CMA members.
