Public ConsultationsA Public
Consultation is the process of engaging affected people and other
interested parties in open dialogue through which a range of views and
concerns can be expressed in order to inform decision-making and help
build consensus. To be meaningful, consultation should be carried out
in a culturally appropriate manner, with information distributed in
advance.
The broadcasting regulator Ofcom and the government Department of
Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) takes decisions based on evidence and
needs to
take into account the views of people and organisations with an
interest in the outcome.
The
CMA endeavours to submit evidence to all Ofcom consultations that have
an effect on Community Media. A list of the most recent consultations
is on this page. From there you will also be able to read and download
CMA submissions. |
