CMA members include organisations and individuals who are passionate about community media and giving people a voice. They include licensed, aspirant and online community radio stations, community television projects, community film makers and community arts projects using digital media. They are leaders in the field of social and community reporting and digital story telling, giving their communities a voice by facilitating people to learn to use media tools to tell their own stories in their own ways.
Becoming a CMA member means that organisations and individuals have signed up to the Community Media Charter, which lays out their commitment to ways of working and inclusion and accessibility for everyone, which means the media that is made is a trusted brand, made by people for people. The Community Media Charter has worldwide recognition and so members are also part of a worldwide community dedicated to furthering the aims of community media.
