Lincoln-based community radio station Siren FM has announced a new course looking at how community radio can boost local democracy. The course begins on Saturday 13 October 2012 and runs across six Saturday sessions.

According to organisers, across 6 day-long sessions, you will work towards making an hour long programme for transmission on Siren FM 107.3. Quite how the programme runs will be up to you and your colleagues to work at through the weeks but it will need to be fully in line with the station’s Key Commitments. Each day will end with an hour long programme where you will be invited to contribute an a range of ways.

You can find a full outline of the course syllabus here, in Word document format.

The closing date for applications is 31 August, and the application form can be found on the front page of Siren FM’s website.
