Call for submissions: Plymouth Community Radio engagement project

We are looking for audio submissions, for use in a short radio production which aims to engage thought and participation in Plymouth Community Radio (launching on FM, July 2013).

Suggested responses: Experimental Music | Poetry | Soundscapes | Electroacoustic Works | Spoken Word

Deadline for submissions is Sunday 13th January 2013. Please ensure you include your email address in the ‘personal note’ section on the upload form.

Selected submissions will feature either as stand alone works, or used as part of a soundbed for the hour long production. They should be no longer than 15 minutes in duration.

Plymouth Community Radio is a collaboration between eatmusic (a Plymouth based online radio station that broadcasts ‘original, underground and unsigned’ music), Freesound (an FM and online radio station set up by Plymouth Arts Centre as a platform for the voice of Plymouth), and Take A Part (a socially engaged arts programme representing neighborhoods high on the indices of social deprivation).

Plymouth Community Radio will specifically aim to provide a service and a platform for the voice of under represented communities within the city, as well as broadcasting opportunities for musicians, DJs, composers, artists, singers, sound artists, poets and many people from the creative community of Plymouth to showcase their original work to a wider audience.
