May 4th-26th sees the 47th annual Brighton Festival – a three week celebration of music, theatre, dance, circus, art and film that takes place across Brighton & Hove. This year the Guest Artistic Director is children’s author, broadcaster and former Children’s Laureate, Michael Rosen, making his own special mark on the Festival.
RadioReverb, Brighton’s local community radio station, is pleased to announce that it is an official media partner of the Brighton Festival. RadioReverb will air its dedicated Festival programme Monday – Friday at 1-2pm from 6th-24th May on 97.2FM in Brighton & Hove and online at www.radioreverb.co.uk.
The programme will feature exclusive interviews with Festival performers, behind the scene reports, previews and highlights of shows, talks and performances.
RadioReverb’s Melita Dennett said “May is always an exciting time in Brighton when the Festival brings an extra buzz to the city. RadioReverb will be getting under the skin of the Festival to see what makes it tick with with high quality speech radio to help Festival-goers get more from this exciting event.”
RadioReverb launched as a full-time FM radio station in 2006. It is entirely run by volunteers with a passion for radio and a love of Brighton and Hove, reflecting its unique character across the output. Shows cover a range of music from punk rock to jazz, and speech programmes include “Out in Brighton”, the only dedicated LGBT show on FM in the city, and “At Home this Morning”, a magazine show for retired listeners.
