A look back at the CMA Conference 2013

Posted by & filed under Community News.

The Community Media Association’s annual Conference and AGM was held on Saturday 1 June at the new MediaCityUK development on Salford Quays.

The event went well, with lots of interesting talks, sessions and positive conversation – and we’d especially like to thank our hosts at the BBC, and the University of Salford for accommodating our slightly changed venue at short notice.

We’d like to share a few pictures taken by attendees at the event, as well as a podcast that has been contributed by Rob Watson. Rob works at Demon FM in Leicester, and also writes a community media blog. His podcast from the event includes audio, interviews and vox-pops from the event and you can listen to it by clicking here – highly recommended.

The team from local community radio station Salford City Radio were also in attendance, and produced this report for us:

Liz and Darren from DigiEnable have produced a Storify page for the event and you can also look back at more tweets by searching Twitter for the hashtag #cmalive.

A few pictures of the event come from Pete Helmore and Luke Barnes of Somer Valley FM – these are available on Dropbox.

If you have any pictures, audio or video from the Conference that you’d like to contribute, we’d be happy to publish it here. Just email conference@commedia.org.uk with your links or attachments.
